IAS GmbH – Who we are

The company history of IAS starts in 1997 with the development of the first generation of HovaCAL^® calibration gas generators. Back then, established as a sole proprietorship, this was the company's only product. Soon, the HovaCAL^® became a standard unit in emission monitoring for the components H₂O, HCl, NH₃, HF and HgCl₂. With these components in particular, it was clear to see the advantages of hot, humid test gases as compared to cylinder gases. The development continued consistently in this direction, and, with the arrival of the HovaCAL^® digital a calibration gas generator was created which could handle practically all emission monitoring components.

In 2001, the business became a limited liability company (GmbH), and the product portfolio was expanded to include the HovaGAS gas mixer series and HovaPOR evaporator systems. This leads to the acquisition of new types of customers, such as from the automotive, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Anywhere that dynamic evaporation of liquids for generating precision gases plays a role, you'll find our units. Today, thanks to the constant development and improvement of our units, we've been able to advance into the trace gas range (ppb to ppt) with our HovaCAL^® VOC series.

Our expertise in test gas generation and the flexibility of a proprietor-run, medium-sized business allows us to carry out customer-specific projects inexpensively and efficiently. Since early 2015, we've been headquartered in Oberursel/Taunus, near Frankfurt am Main. From here, we provide consultation to our customers around the world.
