HovaPOR
The HovaPOR series of universal evaporators generates pulsation-free vapors and gas-vapor mixtures from a wide range of fluids. Depending on the requirements, different evaporator types and evaporation methods are used.
When selecting the right evaporator, factors such as flow rate, the fluid to be evaporated, temperatures, and pressures play a crucial role.
We distinguish between carrier gas-assisted and carrier gas-free evaporation methods.
- In carrier gas-assisted evaporation, a minimum gas flow is always required to ensure complete and pulsation-free evaporation.
- Carrier gas-free evaporators allow for the generation of pure vapors.
For all evaporators, the liquid dosing system must be matched to the specific evaporator type. That is why we always provide the appropriate dosing system tailored to each evaporation challenge.
A self-priming peristaltic pump delivers water or reagent fluid into the evaporator. The pump is regulated by a flow meter (MFM) or, optionally, by a precision balance. Simultaneously, a mass flow controller (MFC) doses carrier gas or a gas mixture into the evaporator, where the fluid is completely evaporated and mixed with the gas. The temperature is adjusted according to the measurement gas or analyzer specifications.
The accuracy and reproducibility of the generated concentrations are ensured by high-precision mass flow controllers for both the carrier gas and the liquid.
Due to the elevated temperature of the generated gas-vapor mixtures, adsorption and corrosion effects can be specifically avoided, and gas stabilization time is significantly reduced.
HovaPOR evaporators are suitable for a wide range of media, including:
- Alcohols and organic solvents
- Test fuels
- Aqueous acids and bases
- Metal-organic compounds
HovaPOR is available in various sizes and configurations:
- From micro-scale quantities of just a few microliters per minute to kilograms per hour
- To cover an extremely large range, different evaporator sizes can be combined and operated in parallel
- With customized post-heaters, the gas-vapor mixture can be superheated and supplied under increased pressure
